Promise of New Heavens and Earth 2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day^2250 is with the Lord as athousand^5507 years^2094, and a thousand^5507 years^2094 as one day^2250. 2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise^1860, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us–ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2Pe3:10 But the day^2250 of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new^2537 heavens^3772 and a new^2537 earth^1093, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Ac 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise^1860 of the Father (Holy Spirit), which, saith he, ye have heard of me. Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Isa 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. Re 21:1 And I saw a new <2537> heaven <3772> and a new <2537> earth^1093: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. The Day is The Tribulation and Judgment Re 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day^2250, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. Re 6:17 For the great day^2250 of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Re 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day^2250, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 1Jo 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day^2250 of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1Co 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in oneday^2250 three and twenty thousand. (Plague where 24,000 died is in Num 25:9) The Binding and Spoiling of Satan Re 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, andbound^1210 him a thousand^5507 years^2094, Mr 3:27 No man can enter into a strong man’s^2478 house, and spoil^1283 his goods, except he will first bind^1210 the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. Mt 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind^1210 him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Mt 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind^1210 them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Lu 11:21 When a strong man^2478 armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: Lu 11:22 But when a stronger^2478 than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. Hab 2:8 Because thou hast spoiled^7997 many nations, all the remnant of the people shallspoil^7997 thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. Eze 39:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil^7997 those thatspoiled^7997 them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. Zep 2:9 Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and theremnant of my people shall possess them. Zec 14:1 Behold, the day^3117 of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil^7998 shall be divided in the midst of thee. No more Deception when Elect come out of Tribulation Re 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, andbound him a thousand years, Re 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive^4105 the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Mt 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive^4105 you. Mt 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive^4105 many. Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive^4105 the very elect. (Elect are not deceived because they escape the tribulation) 2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving^4105, and beingdeceived^4105. Re 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived^4105. A Thousand Years: Salvation of Elect Body Re 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, andbound him a thousand^5507 years^2094, Re 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand^5507 years^2094 should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Re 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received hismark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ athousand^5507 years^2094. Re 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand^5507 years^2094 were finished. This is the first resurrection. Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him athousand^5507 years^2094. Re 20:7 And when the thousand^5507 years^2094 are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Thousand Years: A watch in the night Ps 90:4 For a thousand^0505 years^8141 in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, andas a watch^0821 in the night^03915. Ps 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning^1242. La 2:19 Arise, cry out in the night^03915: in the beginning of the watches^0821 pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. Ec 6:6 Yea, though he live a thousand^0505 years^8141 twice^6471 (time, once), yet hath heseen no good: do not all go to one place? Jer 10:18 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at thisonce^06471, and will distress them, that they may find it so. Jer 16:21 Therefore, behold, I will this once^06471 cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD. Conclusion The Bible, it appears, is contrasting between judgment coming on the corporate body in tribulation (the day) and the Salvation of the Elect body (thousand years). So in the context of judgment (2Pe 3:8), God is also promising of salvation (2Pe 3:9) As with most other language we see in the Bible, God also gives us a picture that could be interpreted literally. However, 4990 BC to 1988 (start of tribulation / judgment day) is not 7000 years. Therefore the term thousand years for one day does not appear to relate to 2011.
Audio Corrections: 1) Rich man trusting in his riches --- said to be picture of elect body, but should be a picture of the unsaved body 2) Vision of the evening and the morning (2300 days--- said to be 1988 to 2011, but should be 1988 to 1994.
Click on the link below for a calendar visual of how I believe the thousand years fits into the tribulation and depart out. Although reference is made to 2011, it appears at the depart out, God may no longer be officially on the calendar:
