Do we keep Saturday as a Sabbath?

No. It was the fourth commandment, and it was a shadow pointing to Jesus who did ALL the work to save His people. Believers keep that day in the sense they rest altogether in Him and not in anything they do in order to get saved:

  • Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:28
  • Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Col 2:16-17

...Come out of her

my people... (Rev 18:4)

Rainbow

In looking at how the Lord has brought the Gospel, we begin to see a certain pattern: First there is a time of drought, (scarcity of salvation) and then comes the rain (gospel) which brings forth fruit or a harvest. Click on the image above to view a break down of the three distinct seasons of rain that the Bible reveals to us. Please feel free to offer correction if you find any errors in this presentation.
